Step Up to the Plate
In March 2020, an immediate crisis of hunger accompanied the crisis of COVID in Philadelphia. My part-time job had previously been more about filing and making copies; suddenly, my mission was “join the team to get this new food initiative up and running in any way that you can.”
I realized pretty quickly that we’d need a logo and a brand identity, so I threw those together in the three-week blur of launching an emergency response management strategy to keep vulnerable Philadelphians fed. Much later, my project was to design and create a website at www.stepupphilly.org.
