Some Other Mettle premiered as a developmental work in the 2012 Philadelphia Fringe, and was redesigned for a subsequent production in 2013 at the Annenberg Center for the Arts. The latter images reflect the first workshop design, which as you can see, reflects a very different production than the first set of photos. I love including these images because it speaks to the way that process can function on new work: the first draft was interesting, but not ultimately helpful in telling this story — but working past that experimental version, the second iteration because much more compelling and successful.
